Delightful Impermanence - found in the joy of creating, simply for creation itself, in the Now
No one Told you or Asked you to make something - you just felt inspired and started making it, for no other reason than to make it. Oftentimes a fleeting gesture, but sweetly satisfying. These moments may be found in creating a sand sculpture, a sidewalk chalk drawing, a glitter tattoo, baking bread; and in so doing you have a thorough enjoyment of being in the now.
Go for it, the next time you feel the urge - grab something tangible and start playing! Just Be with it for that space, and see what happens, what becomes....
I made this small pyramid of sand spheres while sitting on Siesta Key - the rain-drenched sand invited me to dig in, and I found their creation meditative. I know that the sculpture's impermanence was an inherent part of the delight I took in making it. No past, no future - the present.
