This past weekend, we were treated to a preview of fall weather. While it was a tease here in Sarasota, it prompted me to do some local exploring.
The beautiful backdrop of Sarasota Bay is basically my backyard - just a little walk away. Along this waterway are some gems that I invite you to explore - two in particular that spark my plant nerd and nostalgic art appreciation tendencies are Selby Botanical Gardens and Ringling Museum.
Selby has plants from all over the world, and in a word, it is gorgeous. Simply walking the grounds is a great way to relax and appreciate the surroundings... if you needed a reminder, Sarasota is full of beauty. The Ringling Museum is also planted on amazing grounds - wander indoors for John Ringling's amazing archive of artwork in the permanent collection, and new exhibits are always on rotation. Bonus - it is free on Mondays.
Whether you are here, or there, take time to look around where you are. You don't always need to travel far to feel like you've been somewhere.
Take Care,
Sarah
