In addition to getting regular massages to maintain your health, you can enhance the benefits at home with a quick dip in an epsom salt bath.
Epsom salt is a cheap and effective way to supplement a massage. It is readily available in most drugstores and supermarkets, and as a bonus to helping ease minor muscle aches and pains it is extremely relaxing.
For a full-body soak, fill your tub with warm water and dissolve at least 4 cups of the salts. Allow yourself to marinate for 20 minutes; to really pamper yourself, add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. You can also make a compress of the salts for specific aching areas by saturating a warm wet washcloth with the salt and applying where needed for 15 to 20 minutes.
